Clearance & Rights Research
The front-line work: identifying who owns a song, reaching out to labels and publishers, negotiating deal terms, and securing permission to use music in your production or event. I handle both sides of sync — master recording and underlying publishing — and work across television, film, live performance, digital media, and corporate use.

Rights Consultation & Risk Assessment Not every client needs a full clearance. Sometimes you need someone who can tell you what you're exposed to if you use a song without clearing it, what it would realistically cost to do it right, or whether a piece of music is likely to be an issue at all. This is a standalone advisory service, available by the hour or as part of a larger project.

Public Domain Research
Determining whether a piece of music is in the public domain — and documenting that determination — requires careful research across multiple jurisdictions and sources. I verify worldwide PD status, review arrangement rights, and produce documentation suitable for production use, including sheet music review for live performance.

Background
For 17 years I was a music clearance manager at CBS Studios and Paramount, clearing rights for more than 30 television series including The Amazing Race (250 episodes), Survivor (414 episodes), The Good Wife, The Good Fight, Evil, Your Honor, and The Talk (1,540 episodes). Prior to CBS, I served as a Contract Administrator in Business Affairs at TNT/TBS Originals, where I prepared synchronization and master use licenses, processed guild and contractual payments, and managed ancillary licenses including festival releases.Graphic Design
