Hey Hey from Flagstaff, AZ!
What a cool place Flagstaff is! BIG pine trees. BIG red rocks. Friendly people. Gorgeous landscape. Gorgeous college campus (NAU). Hipster downtown. Cool food spots. But it’s high elevation, and my old-lady crusty hands and lips and hair can’t take the dryness. Y’all. It was 10% humidity. No.
I reserved three nights at Woody Mountain Campground but only stayed two. For the third unused night, they would only credit me toward another stay within a year, and I don’t anticipate being back in the next year, so if you’re interested in spending time at Woody Mountain (which I highly recommend), I could transfer the approx. $70 value to you at no charge.
On night two, I met Heather and Chris and Skylar during the nightly campground happy hour. The campground shop’s themes are coffee, wine, camping and dogs, and I’m not mad at any of them. Skylar helped design those themes. Heather and Chris are weekend camp hosts, who are attempting to pick up the social draw, with weekend events such as karaoke and bingo. I won’t lie, I contemplated staying for those alone. They and I bonded over Survivor and Buc-ee’s and small dogs, and happy hour. Our convo was tight; we’ll all be staying in touch. Happy belated 50th, Chris!
